Passions
I am passionate about knowing God in a way that endures being spit in the face, and makes me clinch my fists as I shout in prayer for someone I care about. This is the kind of "knowing God" that allowed 12 scared and hopeless young men who followed Jesus to change the face of the entire known world.
When teenagers know God in this way, they can see that true love and hope exist. I don't want them merely to know "happiness", but truth and purpose. My prayer is to give my life to this new generation, seeing it stand apart and do greater things than I could ever imagine--things so great "that people may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the LORD has done this."
Likes and Dislikes
I like chicken, broccoli with cheese, and gas station hot dogs. I like hanging out with my Mom and Dad. I like staying up late and talking to my best friend. I like playing electric guitar, camping, backpacking, and rock climbing. I really like the people from Burke County Search and Rescue... Thanks guys!! I like hanging out with my friends at NC State. I like playing Halo with a bunch of insane dudes from Cary High School until 4:00am. I don't like waking up in the mornings, and I really like to sleep... a lot. I like to take long walks with God in the woods or on the beach. I like to listen to Thousand Foot Krutch, Relient K, and GRITS. Hmm... I like grits, too.
