Passions
I am passionate about bringing honor to God's name. I desire to bring honor to His name by helping college students grow in their relationship with Him and helping them to help their friends grow in their relationship with Him. When a person leaves home to go to college, it seems like they are leaving the protection of their family and home church and are being thrown to the wolves (or wolfpack at NCSU). In 1 Peter 5:8 it says, "Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." I want to help students resist him, and stand firm in the faith as we are commanded to do in 1 Peter 5:9.
Likes and Dislikes
I like playing ultimate frisbee on a cool summer day with friends. I like playing ultimate frisbee on a hot day with friends. I like playing ultimate frisbee in the rain with friends. I like playing ultimate frisbee in the freezing cold with friends. I like playing table tennis, soccer, tennis and about every other sport I have ever participated in. I enjoy strategy computer games, but I dislike wasting my time on unimportant activities - this creates quite a dilemma for me because computer games offer very little in terms of value. I hate losing at any of these things, although it seems to happen a lot. I like winning when the odds are stacked against me.
