The best way to demonstrate the love of Christ to the world is to serve them. After all, isn't that what Jesus himself did during His ministry? He healed the sick, made the lame walk, and allowed the blind to see. While we cannot serve people in the exact same way that Jesus did, we do have an opportunity to serve others.
The Raleigh Rescue Mission is a faith-based non-profit organization that seeks to provide help and hope for the homeless. Unlike many government run homeless shelters, the Raleigh Rescue Mission not only provides shelter for the homeless, they provide biblical support for their physical and spiritual needs.
The first Sunday of every month, Grace collects non-perishable food items to donate to the Raleigh Rescue Mission. This food goes to help serve the homeless that the Mission is serving.
There are also other ways to volunteer. They are also looking for people - or groups of people, to volunteer for tutoring, help with computer and office tasks, or taking people on local outings.
